This is an INVITE ONLY event for skiers and snowboarders in the 12-14 and 15-18 Age Category.

The IFSA NorAm Championship is an INVITE-ONLY event for the top ranked IFSA Junior athletes aged 12-18. It will take place April 6-10 at Big Sky Resort, hosted by the Big Sky Ski Education Foundation. The IFSA will invite the top 175 competitors out of over 2,200 IFSA junior athletes in our 12-14 and 15-18 age categories.

• An athlete will not qualify for a IFSA NorAm invitation if they have not competed in an IFSA-sanctioned National Series event in Region 2 in 2022. 
   
• Invites will be calculated based on our current population demographics. Invites per division will be calculated based on the size of that division compared to our entire 12-18 athlete population. 
   
• Remember, just a small portion of our growing community will earn an invitation. Invitations are allocated between all 8 divisions in our 12-18 age categories. This year-for the first time ever, our 12-18 IFSA Junior Community tops over 2200 riders! The last time we issued NorAm invites in 2019, we had a Junior athlete population of approx. 1600 athletes. 
   
• We kindly ask that you please do not email the IFSA to inquire about the likelihood of a NorAm invitation. A huge number of factors and the ongoing updating of incoming event results make it impossible for our team to provide an accurate prediction. We are unable to answer these types of email inquiries.
   
• We will extend invitations in a series of 4 rounds according to the following schedule: 

ROUND 1 INVITATIONS
Tuesday, March 15, 2022
Round 1 Qualifiers will be announced and registration for Round 1 will open at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16th. Round 1 athletes must complete registration before Round 2. 

ROUND 2 INVITATIONS
Monday, March 21, 2022
Round 2 Qualifiers will be announced after we compile rankings from the 3 Regional Series and 2 National Series events from the preceding weekend. Round 2 registration will open at 7:00 PM MST on March 21st and athletes must complete registration before Round 3.

ROUND 3 INVITATIONS
Thursday, March 24, 2022
Round 3 Qualifiers will be announced after we compile the results of the Breckenridge Junior National which concludes on March 23rd. Round 3 registration will open on March 24th and athletes must complete registration within 48 hours.

ROUND 4 INVITATIONS
Following Round 3
Round 4 Qualifiers will be contacted individually following Round 3 as invites are declined. We will replace declined invitations within the same division up until our event quota is met. We will share a final invitation list with the community around March 28th to recognize and congratulate all our qualifying athletes.
