Whitewater Launches Jr Freeride Team

The Mountain Adventure Centre, in partnership with The Village Ski Hut and Gericks Ski and Cycle are super stoked to announce the launch of the Whitewater Freeride Team.
This season long program is aimed at 12-18 year-old's who are wanting to get into the world of competitive freeskiing. The team will have 12 weekends of training and competing around South Eastern BC and into Alberta. This season will see the team attend Jr Freeski events at Red Mountain, Fernie, Lake Louise, and Whitewater.
Local ski heroes Peter Velisek and Dano Slater have been hired as head coaches and bring a wealth of knowledge to the club. Each of these men have had the opportunity to be both competitors and judges for various freeski events, as well as participating in film and photo shoots around the world.
